My Journey to Copywriting
I have a background in sales and training, but writing has always been my passion. In fact, I'm a bit of a word-nerd. In 2012, I took the leap I'd always dreamed of and became a freelance copywriter.
I studied hard. I achieved industry-standard qualifications, researched and read every book I could find on the subject. But, the real 'learning of my trade' has been honed by working with many different clients from a huge diversity of industries.
What is a Copywriter?
I'm often asked this question. Do I write books? Do I write stories? Is copywriting something to do with patents and copyright? The short answer is: a copywriter is skilled in writing words that sell or influence. My words win business.

Verbalesque is based in Northumberland in the UK, but I work with clients from all over the world - thanks to modern communications technology and my flexible approach to working hours!
